    Hi,
    
    I'm testing different emergency recovery scenarios for our servers running windows 2008 r2 sp1 x64.
    
    The test is not about the specific hotfix I'm mentioning here, it is just meant to be used as sample ;-).
    
    One test is the worst case scenario f.ex.:
    
    1) windows bluescreen, won't boot after hotfix installation
    
    2) How do you uninstall a hotfix f.ex. KB967351 ?
    
    Here is what I tried and failed:
    
    a) Boot from a Windows DVD or booting via F8 into recovery console or
    
    b) Start a recovery console.
    
    c) run:
    
    pkgmgr /up:Package\_for\_KB967351~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.2.0
    
    (P.S. the kb publickeytoken, architecture and version are 100% correct! ;-)

    And second method was with wuau.exe:
    
    wusa /uninstall /kb:967351

    What would you have to do to uninstall the hotfix?
    
    How would you do it, assuming windows 2008 r2 won't boot! ?

    Got it ... dism is the way to go.
    
    For the archive ;-)
    
    dism /image:c:\\ /remove-package /packagename:Package\_for\_KB967351~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.2.0 /scratchdir:c:\\temp
